Below is a list of coaches who have or will be coaching in the Class of 2024 event in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Mark Duda – Lackawanna College – Pennsylvania
Coach Mark Duda has been the Head Football Coach at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania since 1993. He has produced 315 Division I scholarship football players and 15 of his players have gone on the NFL. He is 2nd among active football coaches in the NJCAA in wins.
During his career as an athlete he played for the University of Maryland where he still hold the record for sacks in a season. Coach Duda also played 5 seasons in the NFL for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Coach Duda has coached with us in Hawaii for 3 years.

Vince Fillipp – St. Ambrose University – Iowa
Coach Vince Fillipp, a former All-American defensive lineman, was named the Head Football Coach for St. Ambrose University in 2022. Coach Fillipp has spent 13 seasons as part of the St. Ambrose football program, including four years as a player. He has served as the SAU Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator since 2017, and added the title of Associate Head Coach in August 2021. Prior to his time at St. Ambrose. he spent the previous three seasons as the Defensive/Recruiting Coordinator at Kansas Wesleyan University.
Coach Fillipp brought his intensity and love for the game to the beaches of Hawaii.

Sherard Poteete – Trinity Valley College – Texas
Sherard Poteete is the Head Football Coach at Trinity Valley Community College. This past season, the Poteete-led Cardinal offense helped the Cardinals to a fourth straight SWJCFC regular season title, a fifth straight No. 1 seed in the SWJCFC regional playoffs and to the C.H.A.M.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl for a second straight year and fourth time in five years. Coach Poteete has coached at the NJCAA and NCAA Div 1 levels.
Sherard Poteete – Trinity Valley College – Texas Head Football Coach Athens, Texas
Mark Henninger – Marion University – Indiana
In 2014 Coach Henninger was named American Football Coaches Association – NAIA National Coach of the Year. His team was national runner-up in 2014 and National Champions in 2015.

Zach Gadbury – St. Ambrose University – Iowa
Zach Gadbury has been named the Offensive Line Coach for the St. Ambrose University football team. Gadbury joined the St. Ambrose coaching staff in 2020.
Coach Gadbury will be coach in the Hawaii Tiki bowl for the second year in a row.

Leonard Hunt – Trinity Valley College – Texas
Coach Leonard Hunt is the Tight Ends and Running Backs Coach at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas.
Coach Hunt will be coaching in the Hawaii Tiki Bowl for the second time this year.

Matt Franzen – Hastings College – Nebraska
Matt Franzen took over the Hastings Football program in December 2018. A native of Lincoln, Franzen graduated from Doane College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. He also holds a Masters Degree from Hastings College in Teaching/Physical Education. He earned First Team NAIA All-America honors in 1993 as an offensive lineman.
We look forward to seeing Coach Franzen at the Hawaii Tiki Bowl for the Class of 2024 event in Honolulu.
Matt Franzen – Hastings College – Nebraska Head Football Coach Hastings, Nebraska
Andy Mitchel – Marian University – Indiana
Andy Mitchel is the Associate Head Coach at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Andy Mitchel has brought a new style and attitude to the MU offense. In 2018, Mitchel guided Marian’s offense to one of its best seasons in program history. The Knights ranked second in the country in sacks against, second in pass efficiency, fourth in third down conversions, sixth in total offense per game and 15th in rushing offense per game.During his second season in 2015, Mitchell helped the Knights to the program’s second national championship behind an offense that posted nearly 42 points per game.
The Hawaii Tiki Bowl is excited to see Coach Mitchel take the field with our high school players.
Andy Mitchel – Marian University – Indiana Associate Head Football Coach Indianapolis, Indiana
Zach Crissup- Northeastern Oklahoma A&M
Zach Crissup is the Head Football Coach at NEO A&M College in Oklahoma. Crissup was named the 23rd Head Coach in the history of Golden Norsemen Football on September 10, 2020. This was upon completion of his 7th season as a member of the Golden Norsemen coaching staff. Crissup spent two years as the Defensive Coordinator in his second stint at NEO where he previously coached linebackers and coordinated strength and conditioning. Crissup played Div. 1 football for Oklahoma State University.
Coach Crissup will be coach in the Hawaii Tiki Bowl for the 4th time this year.

Bill Reiss – Lackawanna College – Pennsylvania
Bill Reiss has been a member of the Lackawanna College football staff since the Spring of 2009. He is currently serving as the Defensive Coordinator. During the 2019 campaign, the Falcons Defensive led by Bill Reiss accumulated a top 10 finish in the NJCAA in most statistical categories. The defensive performance helped propel the Falcons to an 11-0 finish, an El Toro Bowl victory, and a #6 ranking in the NJCAA. During his career, he has helped multiple student athletes sign Division 1 Scholarships and has coached multiple NFL players, most recently coaching Kyzir White.
Bill Reiss – Lackawanna College – Pennsylvania Defensive Coordinator Scranton, Pennsylvania
Ray Woodard – Lamar University
Coach Ray Woodard spent seven years at the Head Football Coach at NCAA Division 1 Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. As a players Woodard was a 2-time Junior College All-American and integral part of a University of Texas defense that led the nation in total defense. He played 5 seasons in the NFL and was a member of the 1986 Denver Bronco Super Bowl team. Coach Woodard has coached for 33 years and has been a head coach at every level of football ranging from high school, junior college, Division 1 and Professional Football. Coach Woodard has coached with our organization for a number of year’s and we look forward to him joining us again in Honolulu for the Hawaii Tiki Bowl.
Ray Woodard – Lamar University Former Head Football Coach Beaumont, Texas
Les Koenning – University of Kansas
Coach Les Koenning he has served as offensive coordinator for Duke University, University of Houston, University of Alabama, Texas A&M University, South Alabama University, Mississippi State University, UAB, and most recently at the University of Kansas. Koenning is a 34 year coaching veteran. The Hawaii Tiki Bowl looks forward to Coach Koenning joining our staff for the Class of 2024 event. His connections in the college football world will be great for the athletes in our event.
Les Koenning – University of Kansas Former Offensive Coordinator Lawrence, Kansas
DeQuinn Watford – St. Ambrose University
DeQuinn Watford is the Offensive Coordinator at St. Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa. Raised in Tennessee, Watford is an alum of St. Ambrose University. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Studies, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Organizational Leadership. We look forward to seeing Coach Watford in Hawaii again for the Class of 2024 Hawaii Tiki Bowl.
DeQuinn Watford – St. Ambrose University Defensive Coordinator Davenport, Iowa
Zac Erekson – Snow College
Zac Erekson is the Head Football Coach at Snow College in Utah. Erekson is entering his third season at Snow, second as the head football coach and his 13th year overall in coaching. In Erekson’s first season as Head Football Coach he led the Badgers to an 8-0 regular season finish and a trip to the National Championship game. Coach Erekson’s positive and upbeat coaching style is a great fit for the Hawaii Tiki Bowl. We look forward to seeing him at our event for years to come.
Zac Erekson – Snow College Head Football Coach Ephraim, Utah
Mark McMillan – Trinity Valley College
Coach McMillan is the Defensive Coordinator at Trinity Valley College. He has coached also coaches at the University of California and Texas Tech University. Having him as a part of the coaching staff for the Class of 2023 Hawaii Tiki Bowl was a great part of our successful event.
