December 17-22, 2025HAWAII TIKI BOWL

Today you will travel from the airport listed on your airline ticket to Hawaii. Upon arrival at the Honolulu Airport, go to your assigned baggage claim and retrieve your luggage.  Then proceed to Baggage Claim Area #31 where a member of the Hawaii Tiki Bowl staff will greet you and take you outside to your hotel transportation.  After you arrive at the hotel you will check-in at the front desk and then proceed to the Leahi Room located on the 3rd floor of the hotel to check-in to the Hawaii Tiki Bowl staff and our college coaches.  After hotel check-in, the remainder of the afternoon/evening is yours to explore the Waikiki area.

We will start the day with a team practice in Kapiolani Park.  Please be in the hotel lobby by 6:45 AM.  The elevators will be crowded so don’t wait until the last minute to try to get on the elevator.  If you do, you’ll be late to your first day of practice…and that doesn’t make a good impression with your college coaches.

After practice you will explore Waikiki with your coaches and teammates taking photos and videos at Waikiki’s top spots.  A prize will be awarded to the team that takes the best and most creative pics and videos.

In the early evening we will attend the Official Hawaii Tiki Bowl Luau Dinner and Show.

• • After practice and the Treasure Trek,  you will have the afternoon free. Please check with our staff if you need help finding safe activities.
  • Remember athletes must stay in groups of 4 or more when leaving the hotel during your free time and you cannot leave the Waikiki area unless you are accompanied by an adult.
  • Athletes – If you are traveling without a parent and need someone to spend the day with on an activity, please notify your coach and the Hawaii Tiki Bowl staff. We will help.

After practice you and your team will compete in the  Hawaii Tiki Bowl – Team Olympics. This event will give you the opportunity to compete in Hawaiian games with your teammates in a fun-filled team building experience. The events are: Huli Huli, Catching Hogs, Warrior Tug, Hawaiian Grindz and the Haka. This will be one of the highlights of the week.

In the evening you can enjoy a Firework Show starting at 7:45 PM on Waikiki Beach and maybe a nice meal with you teammates before the big game tomorrow.  If you want to watch the Firework Show, you can walk to the beach about 7:30 PM to find a good spot to enjoy the show,

Athletes please wear your game jerseys today for the photo shoot.  Also remember that you must have your Hawaii Tiki Bowl ID Badge to board the charter buses.  Athletes, Coaches and paid official Travelers are allowed to travel on the charter buses.

1. Check out time at the hotel is 11:00 AM. Please take your luggage to the hotel lobby for storage with the Bellman until your scheduled hotel departure time. Please consider tipping the Bellman when picking up your luggage.
2. Your coach will come to your room for an inspection between 8:00-10:00 AM.
3. Please clear any incidental charges with the hotel front desk that you may have incurred during your stay.

Important Info – Transportation to the Airport

1. Click Here to view the Hotel Departure Schedule.  You will need to verify your flight info and make sure it corresponds to what is listed in our schedule.  If not, please notify a member of our staff.
2. You will depart for airport approximately 3-5 hours prior to your flight.
   • We also ask you to go to your airline’s website and reconfirm your flight departure time from the airport 24 hours prior to your departure time. Many flight times will be changed on Departure Day and we may not be notified of any changes. It is your responsibility to check your own flight times. If there is a change, please notify a member of the Hawaii Tiki Bowl Staff immediately.
3. Approximately 20 minutes prior to your scheduled hotel departure time, you will need to go the Bell Desk to retrieve your luggage. You will be responsible to carry your own luggage to the transportation van.
4. Be sure that you personally see your luggage is placed on the van and transported to the airport with you.
5. When you arrive at the airport you will need to retrieve your luggage from the van and proceed to the agricultural inspection station located in front of your airline’s ticket counter.
6. Should you decide not to take the provided transportation, you will be responsible for your personal luggage. We also ask that you notify a member of our staff to let us know you will be going to the airport on your own.
